After a year of learning ballet, it finally came to my first exam! I was nervous but at the same time excited! It was an exam of group of 8 so it wasn't that scary at all. Every year we have different examiner from all over the world. On my first exam, I had an examiner from the royal academy of dancing in united kingdom. She was very friendly to us because we were still at the age of 6. After a month or two we finally got our diploma sent from UK. Since I was in the lowest level in which of those would have exams, there were no grades for us but a pass or no pass. =)

This is so funny to see because I did ballet as well. Lke you I started when I was 3 and worked my way up through the cecchetti method. W had exams every year and I actually really enjoyed them because you were being rewarded for your hard work. I stopped dancing after high school but definitely miss it. Do you still dance? Well, I look forward to seeing what you post next!
ReplyDeletewow you started at 3? For my ballet school, they only allowed girls starting at the age of 4. Yes! I do enjoyed dancing and all the exams except for my first in class performance as what I said on my previous blog. and yes, I'm still dancing. I stopped for a year or two when I moved to Hawaii but I found myself really missing it too much so I started again=) hehe
